Vaccizone's COVID-19 vaccine is a preclinical protein subunit vaccine candidate designed to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection. It utilizes a proprietary ASC (Apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD) speck fusion protein technology. In this platform, the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is fused to ASC, which naturally assembles into large, highly stable protein complexes known as 'specks.' These specks act as a potent delivery system and intrinsic adjuvant, mimicking the particulate nature of pathogens to enhance antigen presentation and stimulate a robust, long-lasting immune response. By targeting the spike protein, the vaccine aims to induce neutralizing antibodies and T-cell activity against the virus.
