Overview

VACh is a combination drug comprising Venetoclax, Azacitidine, and Chidamide. It is being investigated for the treatment of newly diagnosed adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients who are ineligible for intensive therapy or decline it. Venetoclax is a BCL2 inhibitor, Azacitidine is a hypomethylating agent, and Chidamide is a histone deacetylase inhibitor that can downregulate MCL1 expression in Venetoclax-resistant AML cells. The combination aims to achieve synergistic anti-leukemia effects by eradicating leukemia stem cells and preventing drug resistance. [cite: NCT06532552]
