Overview

Vacuna inactivada porcina is a polyvalent inactivated veterinary vaccine developed by FARVET for the prevention of major respiratory and enteric diseases in swine. The vaccine formulation includes inactivated bacterial antigens from *Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae* (serotypes 1, 5, and 7), *Pasteurella multocida* (types A and D), *Haemophilus parasuis* (serotypes 1, 4, and 5), *Salmonella choleraesuis*, *Salmonella typhimurium*, and *Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae*. By presenting these inactivated pathogens to the porcine immune system, the vaccine stimulates the production of specific antibodies and primes cellular immunity, providing protection against pleuropneumonia, pasteurellosis, Glässer's disease, salmonellosis, and swine erysipelas. It is typically administered to piglets and sows to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with these infections in commercial swine operations.
