Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A non-hormonal topical cream formulation used as a vaginal moisturizing agent. Developed or utilized by the Universidade Federal do Paraná for clinical research, this product is designed to alleviate symptoms of vaginal atrophy, such as dryness and irritation, in postmenopausal women. In clinical trials, it has been used as a comparative control or placebo to evaluate the efficacy and safety of various vaginal estrogen therapies (including conjugated estrogens, promestriene, and estriol) in patients with pelvic organ prolapse and atrophic vaginitis. Unlike estrogen-based treatments, it provides symptomatic relief through hydration of the vaginal mucosa without hormonal activity.
