VAL-1000

VAL-1000 is an investigational oncology drug being evaluated in a Phase I/II clinical trial for adult patients with acute leukemias, with an initial focus on assessing safety, tolerability, and preliminary antileukemic activity in relapsed or refractory disease. Publicly available registry information describes a 2-stage 3+3 dose-escalation design followed by dose expansion in acute leukemia populations, but does not disclose the molecular modality, target, or detailed mechanism of action.[2][10] Given the early stage of development and lack of published mechanistic data, VAL-1000 should currently be considered an experimental antineoplastic agent with an unknown pharmacologic class and mechanism.
