Overview

DSTP3086S, also known as vandortuzumab vedotin, is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) designed for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. It consists of a humanized immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody targeting six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate 1 (STEAP1), which is highly expressed in prostate cancers. The antibody is linked via a protease-labile linker to monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE), a potent antimitotic agent. Upon binding to STEAP1 on tumor cells, the ADC is internalized and MMAE is released intracellularly, leading to inhibition of cell division and subsequent cell death. Clinical studies have shown that DSTP3086S has acceptable safety at recommended doses and demonstrates antitumor activity in patients with STEAP1-expressing metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer[2][3][7].
