Overview
Vanguard B-CR i-III is a trivalent intranasal vaccine developed by Zoetis for the prevention of canine infectious respiratory disease complex (CIRDC), commonly known as kennel cough. The vaccine is formulated to provide active immunity against three primary respiratory pathogens: *Bordetella bronchiseptica*, canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2), and canine parainfluenza (CPI) virus. It contains an avirulent live culture of *B. bronchiseptica* and modified-live versions of CAV-2 and CPIV. Administered as a single intranasal dose, the vaccine stimulates local mucosal immunity in the upper respiratory tract, which is the primary site of infection for these pathogens. It is indicated for use in healthy dogs 8 weeks of age or older and is known for providing a rapid onset of immunity.
