Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vantictumab is a human IgG2 monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment of cancer. It targets the Frizzled (FZD) family of receptors—specifically FZD1, FZD2, and FZD5—thereby inhibiting canonical Wnt signaling. This mechanism disrupts pathways involved in cancer stem cell maintenance and tumor growth. Vantictumab has been investigated in clinical trials for solid tumors including pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and breast cancer[7][9][10]. The drug was developed by OncoMed Pharmaceuticals in partnership with Bayer Pharma.
