Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Vanutide cridificar** is an investigational active immunotherapy vaccine for Alzheimer's disease. Also known as ACC-001, it is an N-terminal amyloid-beta peptide 1-7 conjugate designed to elicit endogenous anti-amyloid-beta antibodies while avoiding the T-cell epitopes implicated in the meningoencephalitis observed with the earlier full-length amyloid-beta vaccine AN1792. It was evaluated in Phase 2 studies, generally with the QS-21 adjuvant, in mild-to-moderate and early Alzheimer's disease. The program was administered by intramuscular injection, generated anti-amyloid-beta antibody responses when combined with QS-21, and was subsequently discontinued without approval.
