ACC-001 (vanutide cridificar) + QS-21 is an investigational therapeutic vaccine combination developed for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. ACC-001 is a synthetic peptide vaccine consisting of the N-terminal 1–7 amino acids of amyloid-beta conjugated to a carrier protein, designed to elicit an immune response and generate antibodies against amyloid-beta plaques implicated in Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis[1][2][5]. QS-21 is a saponin-based adjuvant that enhances the immune response by promoting antigen presentation and T cell activation through mechanisms such as endosomal membrane destabilization and inflammasome activation[6].
