Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Varisacumab** is a human monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), blocking its binding to receptors and thereby suppressing tumor angiogenesis and vascular permeability. Developed initially by Peregrine Holdings Ltd. and later advanced by Oncologie and OncXerna Therapeutics, it targets solid tumors and hematologic malignancies through anti-VEGF activity similar to bevacizumab. Research-grade biosimilars and ELISA kits are available for preclinical studies, with clinical development reaching Phase 3.[1][3][15][18]
