Overview
Varunadi Kvath is a classical Ayurvedic polyherbal decoction primarily used for the management of urinary tract disorders, urolithiasis (renal calculi), and obesity. The formulation is centered around the bark of *Crataeva nurvala* (Varuna), which is well-regarded in Ayurvedic medicine for its lithontriptic (stone-breaking) and diuretic properties. It works by modulating urinary electrolyte composition, reducing the concentration of stone-forming constituents like calcium and oxalate, and exerting anti-inflammatory effects on the urinary tract. Additionally, it is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and metabolic conditions such as dyslipidemia and obesity by stimulating fat metabolism and reducing lipid accumulation.
