Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**VaxiFlu** is a Zydus Lifesciences seasonal **trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine** developed for prevention of influenza. The identifiable VaxiFlu product launched in India for the 2025–2026 Northern Hemisphere season contains influenza A/H1N1pdm09, influenza A/H3N2, and influenza B/Victoria-lineage vaccine strains. As an inactivated split-virion vaccine, it presents influenza viral antigens, including hemagglutinin, to induce strain-specific humoral immune responses and protective neutralizing antibodies. It is administered by intramuscular injection and is intended for annual seasonal vaccination because circulating influenza strains can change between seasons.
