Overview

**VaxiFlu-S** is a Zydus inactivated, whole-virion, monovalent influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 vaccine developed for active immunization against pandemic H1N1 influenza. The official Indian product information identifies each 0.5 mL dose as containing 15 micrograms of hemagglutinin antigen from the egg-derived, beta-propiolactone-inactivated A/California/7/2009 H1N1 NIBRG-121xp strain. It is administered by intramuscular injection, preferably into the deltoid, and was indicated for adults aged 18 years and older.
