Overview

Vaxleukin-15 (VCB-2401) is a cytokine-based immunotherapy developed by Vaxcell Bio for the treatment of companion animal cancers, specifically canine mammary tumors and canine lymphoma. It is an interleukin-15 (IL-15) based therapy designed as an immuno-oncology adjuvant to enhance the anti-tumor immune response. Vaxleukin-15 received the first domestic approval in South Korea for a canine mammary tumor-targeted immuno-oncology adjuvant and the world's first marketing authorization for canine lymphoma immuno-adjuvant therapy. The drug functions by stimulating the proliferation and activation of immune cells such as natural killer (NK) cells and T cells, thereby improving the efficacy of cancer treatments in veterinary oncology.
