Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vaxsafe IBD is a live freeze-dried egg-produced intermediate plus Infectious Bursal Disease (Gumboro) vaccine designed for broilers, layers, and breeders. It has proven efficacy against most Gumboro strains, including very virulent IBD (vvIBD). The vaccine strain does not immunosuppress birds and can immunize in the presence of relatively high maternal antibodies. It stimulates virus neutralizing antibody that protects from homologous challenge by classical IBD viruses including vvIBD virus. The vaccine is available in 1000 & 2000 dose vials and is administered via drinking water. It was first registered in 2004 with Registration #56537.
