Vaxsafe ND is a live, freeze-dried vaccine containing avirulent Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) Strain V4. It is used for the prevention of Newcastle disease in broiler chickens. The active constituent per dose is at least 10^5.7 EID50 of living virus. The vaccine works by stimulating an immune response against the Newcastle disease virus, thereby providing protection to vaccinated poultry flocks. It can be administered orally via drinking water from seven days of age and displays high antigenicity and infectivity without causing respiratory reactions in birds[1][6]. Developed and manufactured in Australia, it has been registered since 2005.
