Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VaxSys Synergy is a proprietary vaccine stabilization platform and a line of thermostable vaccine products developed by VaxSys, LLC. The technology utilizes a unique formulation matrix to render vaccines, most notably the Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV), resistant to degradation caused by temperature fluctuations, including extreme heat and freezing. By eliminating the need for a continuous 2–8°C cold chain, VaxSys Synergy aims to improve vaccine accessibility and reduce wastage in low-resource settings and remote geographic areas. The lead application, Synergy-sIPV, is a stabilized trivalent inactivated polio vaccine designed to support global eradication efforts by providing a product that remains potent under ambient conditions. The platform's mechanism involves the physical stabilization of viral antigens, preserving their structural integrity and immunogenicity during storage and transport.
