Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VaxThera's Zika vaccine is a preclinical candidate being developed using both viral vector and mRNA platforms. The project is a collaborative effort between VaxThera, the University of Wisconsin, and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, with co-funding from the Colombian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Colombia). The vaccine aims to induce protective immunity against the Zika virus by leveraging genetic delivery technologies to express viral antigens and stimulate neutralizing antibody and T-cell responses.
