Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**VB-601** is a proprietary monoclonal antibody developed by VBL Therapeutics (now associated with Notable Labs) that targets **MOSPD2** (motile sperm domain-containing protein 2), a membrane protein essential for monocyte chemotaxis and directional cell motility. By blocking MOSPD2 on monocytes, VB-601 prevents their migration to sites of inflammation, reducing chronic immune-inflammatory responses and tissue damage. It has demonstrated disease-modifying activity in preclinical models of multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease, with potential applications in both prevalent and rare inflammatory indications. The program has completed pre-IND meetings with the FDA and IND-enabling studies, positioning it toward first-in-human trials.[1][3][5][9]
