Overview
**VB-C01** is an investigational, surgically implanted regenerative-medicine product developed by Viscofan for ischaemic left ventricular dysfunction and heart failure associated with ischaemic heart disease. It consists of a biocompatible collagen membrane seeded with allogeneic adipose-derived stem cells and is placed epicardially during coronary revascularisation surgery. The collagen scaffold is intended to localize and support the administered cells at the injured myocardium, while the cells are intended to promote myocardial repair through regenerative and paracrine effects. VB-C01 has been evaluated in first-in-human Phase 1 studies under the CARDIOMESH programme.
