Overview

VBC106 is a first-in-class bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) designed to target two distinct tumor-associated antigens: Folate Receptor alpha (FRα) and Mesothelin (MSLN). Developed by VelaVigo Bio, the agent is engineered to treat advanced malignant solid tumors by leveraging the dual-targeting approach to enhance tumor selectivity and potentially overcome resistance mechanisms associated with single-target therapies. Upon binding to FRα and/or MSLN on the surface of cancer cells, the ADC is internalized, releasing its cytotoxic payload to induce cell death. VBC106 is currently undergoing evaluation in a Phase 1/2a first-in-human clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients with advanced solid malignancies.
