Overview

**VBI-2901** is an investigational trivalent pan-coronavirus prophylactic vaccine developed by VBI Vaccines using its enveloped virus-like particle platform. The vaccine co-displays spike antigens from SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV, and MERS-CoV, including a modified prefusion SARS-CoV-2 spike, to elicit neutralizing antibody and cell-mediated immune responses with potential breadth across known and emerging coronaviruses. The clinical formulation designated VBI-2901a contains aluminum phosphate adjuvant and has been evaluated as an intramuscular booster in a Phase 1 study in adults previously vaccinated against COVID-19.
