Overview
VBP-926 is a broad-spectrum, resistance-free biocidal topical solution containing povidone iodine in a novel non-aqueous DMSO solvent system. It has the ability to eradicate all known microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, yeasts, molds, fungi, and protozoa. The formulation was specifically developed to enable repeat-dosed application without causing toxicity. In clinical trials, the 2% concentration demonstrated significant efficacy in treating chemotherapy-associated paronychia, meeting the primary endpoint of grade improvement on the Paronychia Severity Grading Scale (p=0.0003).
