Overview

VBS-102 is a preclinical-stage bispecific antibody developed by Velavigo Shanghai Pharmaceutical for the treatment of thyroid eye disease (TED). It is designed to simultaneously target the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) and the thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR), two key pathways implicated in the pathogenesis of TED. By modulating the signaling of these receptors, VBS-102 aims to reduce the inflammation and tissue remodeling associated with the disease. In 2024, Velavigo entered into a global licensing agreement (excluding Greater China) with Ollin Biosciences for the development and commercialization of VBS-102 for up to $440 million.
