VCB-1501 is a bispecific antibody fragment being developed by Vaxcell-Bio Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors, including liver, lung, and colorectal cancers. The molecule is a fusion of an EpCAM-binding nanobody and a CD3-binding single-chain variable fragment (scFv). Its mechanism of action involves the nanobody component targeting EpCAM-expressing tumor cells, while the CD3-binding scFv recruits and activates T cells to promote direct tumor-cell killing. Currently in the research and development (R&D) stage, VCB-1501 represents a next-generation T-cell engager designed to enhance the precision and efficacy of immunotherapy in solid malignancies.
