Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VCC-002 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine currently in preclinical development by Vaccentis AG for the treatment of metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC). The vaccine is based on the company's All Individualized Precision Immunotherapy (AIPI) platform, which utilizes an autologous approach to generate a personalized treatment based on the unique antigen profile of a patient's own tumor. By priming the immune system with these patient-specific tumor antigens, VCC-002 is designed to induce a targeted immune response capable of recognizing and attacking metastatic tumor cells. It serves as a follow-on candidate to VCC-001, which is being developed for the adjuvant treatment of renal cell carcinoma post-nephrectomy.
