Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VCC-005 is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine being developed by Vaccentis for the treatment of bladder cancer. Currently in the preclinical stage of development, VCC-005 is part of a pipeline of personalized immunotherapy candidates. Although specific mechanistic details for VCC-005 have not been fully disclosed, it belongs to the same platform as Vaccentis's lead candidate VCC-001, which is an autologous tumor vaccine designed to induce a patient-specific immune response against tumor-specific antigens. The goal of VCC-005 is to prime the patient's immune system to recognize and attack bladder cancer cells based on their unique antigenic profile.
