Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VCE-007.2 is a preclinical-stage small molecule developed by Emerald Health Biotechnology España (VivaCell Biotechnology) for the treatment of bone-related disorders, including osteoporosis and osteonecrosis. The compound acts as a dual modulator targeting the B55α regulatory subunit of Protein Phosphatase 2A (PP2A) and the Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor gamma (PPARγ). By modulating these pathways, VCE-007.2 aims to promote osteoblastogenesis (bone formation) while potentially inhibiting adipogenesis in the bone marrow, addressing the underlying pathology of bone loss and vascular-related bone death.
