Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VCR-036 is a novel pentavalent, bispecific immunotherapy targeting both PD-1 and CTLA-4. It is being developed by Vicero for the treatment of cancer. The drug leverages proprietary VINCOBODY technology, which utilizes single monomeric variable domains (VHHs) to create highly potent and stable molecules capable of engaging multiple immune checkpoint targets with high affinity and avidity. This next-generation approach aims to enhance the body’s natural immune response against tumors while offering improved tissue penetration, stability under diverse conditions, and a convenient six-week subcutaneous dosing schedule. Preclinical studies have demonstrated robust efficacy and safety profiles for VCR-036[1][2]. The therapy is currently in preclinical development.
