Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VCT220 (also known as CX11) is an oral small molecule glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA) developed for the treatment of obesity, overweight, and type 2 diabetes. It acts by stimulating the GLP-1 receptor to enhance insulin secretion and reduce appetite, leading to weight loss and improved glycemic control. Clinical trials have demonstrated significant reductions in body weight with a favorable tolerability profile and no drug-induced liver injury observed. The drug is being developed by Corxel Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with Chengdu Vincentage Pharma Co., Ltd., with ongoing Phase 3 trials for obesity in China and Phase 2 development globally[4][6][5].
