Vebreltinib + furmonertinib is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Vebreltinib (also known as bozitinib or PLB-1001) is a potent and highly selective small molecule inhibitor of the c-MET (HGF receptor) tyrosine kinase. Furmonertinib is a third-generation, irreversible EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) designed to target both EGFR sensitizing mutations and the T790M resistance mutation. This combination is specifically aimed at patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have developed resistance to prior EGFR-TKI therapy through c-MET amplification. By simultaneously inhibiting the EGFR and c-MET pathways, the combination seeks to overcome bypass signaling resistance. The therapy is currently under evaluation in a Phase Ib/II trial led by Peking University Cancer Hospital & Institute.
