**Vectorized anti-tau antibody** is a preclinical **AAV-based gene therapy immunotherapy** being developed by **Voyager Therapeutics** for tauopathies including **Alzheimer's disease**, **progressive supranuclear palsy**, and **frontotemporal dementia**. The approach uses an intravenously administered, **blood-brain barrier-penetrant TRACER capsid** to deliver a transgene encoding a **full-length anti-tau monoclonal antibody**, enabling sustained in vivo production, assembly, and secretion of the antibody within the central nervous system. Its intended mechanism is durable neutralization of **pathological tau** species and aggregates in the brain to reduce tau spread and downstream neurofibrillary pathology. Preclinical reports describe durable CNS antibody expression and meaningful reductions in tau pathology and neurofibrillary tangles in mouse tauopathy models, supporting the concept as a potential **single-dose** alternative to conventional passive anti-tau antibody therapy.
