VEEBOSE-GM

VEEBOSE-GM is a fixed-dose combination oral anti-diabetic medication marketed by Biomax Biotechnics. It contains three active ingredients: acarbose and voglibose, which are alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, and metformin, a biguanide. Acarbose and voglibose work by inhibiting the alpha-glucosidase enzymes in the small intestine, thereby delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates and reducing postprandial blood glucose levels. Metformin acts primarily by decreasing hepatic glucose production, decreasing intestinal absorption of glucose, and improving insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization. This combination is used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly when glycemic control is not achieved with monotherapy or dual therapy.
