Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vehicle foam (Sorilux) is the placebo control formulation used in clinical trials for Sorilux (calcipotriene foam, 0.005%), developed by Stiefel, a GSK Company. It is an aqueous-based emulsion foam designed to be chemically and physically identical to the active Sorilux product, excluding the active ingredient calcipotriene. This vehicle was utilized in Phase 3 randomized, double-blind studies to establish a baseline for the safety and efficacy of calcipotriene in the treatment of moderate plaque-type psoriasis affecting the scalp and body in both adult and pediatric populations.
