Vehicle of Acnase

The Vehicle of Acnase is a topical cream base used as a placebo control in clinical trials for Acnase Creme, developed by Zurita Laboratorio Farmaceutico Ltda. It consists of the inactive cream formulation used in the commercial product but lacks the active pharmaceutical ingredients, benzoyl peroxide (5%) and sulfur (2%). This vehicle was utilized in Phase 3 monocentric, single-blind, randomized studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the active Acnase formulation in patients with acne vulgaris grades I and II. By serving as a comparator, the vehicle allows researchers to isolate and assess the specific therapeutic contribution of the active ingredients versus the effects of the base formulation alone.
