Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vendaje is a dehydrated human amniotic membrane (dHACM) allograft developed by BioStem Technologies for the management of chronic wounds, specifically diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). The product is processed using the proprietary bioREtain method, which involves initial disinfection, processing with isotonic solutions, dehydration at controlled temperatures (37-40°C), and electron beam sterilization. This process is designed to preserve the natural extracellular matrix (ECM) and endogenous growth factors inherent in amniotic tissue. Vendaje functions as a biological scaffold that facilitates wound healing by providing a structural matrix and signaling molecules that support cellular recruitment, migration, and proliferation.
