Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vendaje AC is a perinatal tissue-derived allograft developed by BioStem Technologies using their proprietary BioREtain® processing method. It consists of dehydrated human amnion/chorion membrane (DHACM) and is regulated as a Human Cell, Tissue, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) under U.S. FDA 21 CFR 1271. The product is designed to preserve the native growth factors and an intact collagen matrix of placental tissue, serving as a biological scaffold and protective barrier for wound healing. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, where clinical evidence suggests it promotes faster wound size reduction and requires fewer applications compared to alternative treatments.
