Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Venom desensitisation + Advax is an adjuvanted allergy immunotherapy vaccine being developed by Vaxine for the treatment of insect venom allergy, specifically targeting bee and ant venom. The formulation combines venom allergens with Vaxine's proprietary Advax adjuvant, which is based on delta-inulin. The mechanism of action involves inducing immune tolerance and stimulating the production of protective IgG blocking antibodies, which compete with IgE for allergen binding, thereby reducing the allergic response upon subsequent exposure to venom. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
