Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VER-01 is a proprietary, full-spectrum cannabis extract derived from the leaves and flowers of Cannabis sativa. It is formulated as an oral solution containing dronabinol (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, THC) at a concentration of 19 mg/mL in sesame oil. Developed by Vertanical, VER-01 is designed for the treatment of chronic non-specific low back pain in patients who have not achieved sufficient relief from non-opioid analgesics or cannot tolerate them. The drug acts primarily as a cannabinoid receptor agonist and aims to provide effective pain relief without significant risk of dependency or abuse potential. Clinical studies indicate that it may also improve associated symptoms such as sleep disturbances and depressive mood commonly seen in chronic pain patients. Unlike recreational cannabis use, VER-01 does not typically cause intoxication or increased appetite/weight gain[1][3][5][6].
