Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The VERDI personalized peptide vaccine is an individualized cancer immunotherapy developed by VERDI Solutions using its proprietary cloud-based computational platform, the VERDI (Vaccine Epitopes Ranked by Digital Intelligence) System. The platform integrates a patient's human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I and II genotypes with tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), including cancer-testis antigens (CTAs), and tumor RNA-sequencing data to design patient-specific vaccines. These vaccines consist of 20–50 amino acid long peptide fragments emulsified in Montanide ISA 51 VG adjuvant, designed to elicit robust CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell responses with minimal risk of immune-related adverse events. The vaccine has been administered under individual healing attempts ('Heilversuch') in Europe (Austria, Germany, and Switzerland) for patients with advanced cancers, including metastatic signet ring cell carcinoma (SRCC) and bone metastases, demonstrating tumor-specific T-cell responses and clinical benefits such as prolonged survival and pain relief.
