Overview

Verekitug is a recombinant human immunoglobulin G1 monoclonal antibody that acts as an antagonist of the thymic stromal lymphopoietin receptor (TSLPR). It is being developed for the treatment of severe asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), and other TSLP-driven inflammatory diseases. Verekitug works by potently inhibiting the TSLP receptor, thereby reducing inflammation mediated by this cytokine pathway. The drug has demonstrated high subcutaneous bioavailability and a favorable safety profile in early clinical trials. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical development for severe asthma and CRSwNP, with plans to initiate studies in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)[1][5][6][7].
