Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VERI-101 is a first-in-class investigational cancer immunotherapy developed by VerImmune that uses a proprietary Virus-inspired Particle (ViP) platform to implement an Anti-tumor Immune Redirection (AIR) strategy, redirecting pre-existing cellular immune memory against cytomegalovirus (CMV) toward tumor cells to induce antitumor CD8+ T-cell responses.[1][5][7][14] As an AIR-ViP “Virus-inspired Drug Conjugate,” VERI-101 is designed to be tumor antigen-agnostic and to function as an immunostimulatory agent that can be used alone or in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors for multiple solid tumors, with development currently in the preclinical stage and partnered with Fosun Pharma for clinical development and commercialization in Greater China.[1][2][4][7][12][13][14]
