Veronate is a donor-selected staphylococcal human immune globulin intravenous (IGIV) developed by Inhibitex, Inc. under license from BioResearch, with Bristol-Myers Squibb serving as a lead sponsor for its clinical trials. It was investigated as an antibody-based immunotherapy for the prevention of nosocomial staphylococcal sepsis, as well as Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida infections in premature and very-low-birth-weight infants.
