Overview

VERT-002 (also known as PFL-002 or PFL-002/VERT-002) is a monoclonal antibody developed initially by Vertical Bio and now by Pierre Fabre Laboratories. It acts as a degrader of c-MET (hepatocyte growth factor receptor), an oncogenic driver implicated in various solid tumors, particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with MET alterations such as mutations or amplification. The drug is being investigated for its potential to overcome resistance mechanisms that arise from MET alterations in NSCLC and other solid tumors. Its mechanism of action is considered novel and differentiated among targeted therapies for MET-driven cancers. Clinical development includes ongoing phase 1/2 trials to assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics/dynamics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors harboring MET alterations[1][3][4][5][6].
