Overview

Verzistobart (INCAGN02390) is a monoclonal antibody targeting T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin-domain containing-3 (TIM-3), an immune checkpoint receptor. By binding to TIM-3, verzistobart aims to alleviate immune suppression and restore the anti-tumor activity of T cells. It was developed by Incyte in collaboration with Agenus. The drug has been investigated in various clinical trials, often in combination with other checkpoint inhibitors like retifanlimab (anti-PD-1) and tuparstobart (anti-LAG-3), for the treatment of advanced malignancies including squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, Merkel cell carcinoma, and endometrial cancer. In 2024, Incyte announced plans to discontinue its development and return the rights to Agenus by February 2026.
