VesiculoVax CCHFV vaccine is a preclinical-stage, replication-competent viral vector vaccine developed by Auro Vaccines in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). The vaccine utilizes the VesiculoVax platform, which employs an attenuated, negative-strand, non-segmented RNA vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) vector engineered to express the surface glycoproteins of the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV). This approach is designed to present CCHFV antigens in their authentic form, stimulating the production of neutralizing antibodies and activating innate immune signals to provide durable protection against Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), a severe tick-borne viral disease.
