Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VesiVis is a defined multi-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HA) formulation developed by Holy Young BioMedical (a spin-off of Holy Stone Healthcare) for the treatment of bladder disorders, specifically ketamine-induced cystitis (KIC). Administered via intravesical instillation, VesiVis replenishes the glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer of the bladder, rebuilding urothelial barrier integrity and restoring voiding function. In preclinical models of KIC, VesiVis has been shown to promote urothelial barrier repair by restoring tight junction proteins (such as ZO-1 and E-cadherin) and uroplakin III (UPKIII) expression, while also attenuating inflammatory and nociceptive signaling pathways (including NGF, TNF-alpha, and P2X3).
