Overview

VET-AST2 is an oncolytic virus developed by KaliVir Immunotherapeutics, Inc. as an earlier-stage candidate within their Vaccinia Enhanced Template (VET) platform. This platform utilizes genetically modified vaccinia viruses engineered with transgenes to selectively infect and replicate within cancer cells, leading to their destruction. The therapeutic approach aims to stimulate the patient's immune system and modify the tumor microenvironment to enhance anti-tumor responses.
