Vet-Stem Regenerative Cell Therapy is a veterinary autologous adipose-derived stem cell therapy in which a small sample of an animal’s fat is harvested, processed at a central laboratory to concentrate regenerative cells, and then reinjected to treat traumatic and degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, and osteochondral defects in dogs, cats, and horses.[1][3][9][13] The stromal vascular fraction obtained from adipose tissue contains mesenchymal stem/stromal cells and other regenerative cells that exert trophic, immunomodulatory, and anti‑inflammatory effects, promoting repair and improving joint function and comfort.[1][2][3][4] The product and service are provided by VetStem, which developed and patented this adipose-derived stem cell platform based on prior equine regenerative medicine experience and now offers it through trained veterinarians who collect and ship fat samples for centralized processing and return of injectable cell preparations.[1][3][9][13]
